About & experience
I work at the intersection of healthcare operations, business development, commercial performance and digital transformation.
Business development · Healthcare operations · Commercial excellence · Governance · Digital transformation
My career began in pharmacy and healthcare operations, where the challenges were practical: inventory, purchasing, service delivery, workflows, governance, compliance and management visibility.
Over time, my work expanded from operating those processes to leading teams, improving performance, analysing commercial and operational data, developing business opportunities and designing better ways of working.
Today, my experience spans healthcare operations, business development, commercial and portfolio analysis, institutional development, governance, decision support and digital transformation.
I do not start with technology. I start with the business and operational problem — how the process works, where value is being lost, what decisions need to be made and what is limiting performance.
From there, the right answer may be a commercial strategy, process redesign, governance framework, better management information, automation or a digital product.
The common thread across my work is:
Understand the operation and the commercial position underneath it — how the process really runs, where value is being lost, and what the available information does and does not support.
Decide what should change and in what order: the commercial position, the process, the controls, the information management needs, or the system — chosen against the problem rather than against preference.
Put it into the operation. Workflows people actually follow, decisions that hold under pressure, and systems tested against real scenarios rather than demonstrated in ideal ones.
Measure it by what changed in the business — performance, visibility, control, working capital, accountability — not by whether the deliverable was produced.
The move from practice to leadership to commercial development was not a change of career. Each stage was an answer to a problem the previous stage kept running into.
Hospital and community pharmacy. The problems here are immediate and physical: what is on the shelf, what has expired, what a patient needs that is not there. Nothing about them is abstract, which is a useful place to start from.
Pharmacy management: responsibility widened from dispensing to the service itself — staff, medicines, purchasing, coordination. This is the point at which operational problems stop being someone else’s to solve.
Pharmacy practice, then associate leadership, inside a different healthcare system with different rules and expectations. Seeing familiar operational problems recur under unfamiliar conditions is what first suggested they were patterns rather than local faults.
Outpatient pharmacy leadership: service delivery, inventory and purchasing, governance and compliance, staff and workflow coordination, and the management reporting all of it had to feed. The deepest operational exposure of the sequence — and the period that raised most of the questions this portfolio answers.
Business development, governance and commercial performance in healthcare and pharmaceutical distribution — market and customer development, portfolio and working-capital analysis, institutional opportunities and operational controls. The operational understanding did not become less relevant when the work became commercial. It became the reason the commercial judgement is worth anything.
The record behind the progression. Organisations are described by category and country rather than named.

Not a list of everything I have touched — the categories of problem where the combination of healthcare knowledge, commercial judgement and operational experience is worth more than any one of them alone.
Sales, purchasing, stock, margin and supplier terms read together until each part of a portfolio has a commercial position and a decision attached to it.
Market and customer development where eligibility is built before the opportunity arrives — institutional demand, tender readiness, partner and portfolio fit.
Pharmacy and healthcare operations run rather than advised on: service delivery, inventory, purchasing and the cross-functional execution that holds them together.
Work that crosses functions and loses its status in the middle. Mapping the responsibilities, evidence, approvals and execution path so a case cannot quietly stall.
Operational, commercial and governance information that is usually held apart, connected far enough to show what one side is doing to the other.
Real workflows translated into practical systems where a system is genuinely the answer — designed around how the operation runs, then tested against it.
Tools, grouped by what they are for. They are instruments, not the argument — and they sit last on this page for the same reason.

Describe the problem — the friction, the missing visibility, the process that keeps breaking. If I can help, I'll tell you how I'd approach it. If I can't, I'll say so.
